# Why wasn’t my application accepted?

At masihimatch, we prioritize the safety and authenticity of our community. If your application wasn’t accepted, it’s almost always because your selfie or profile photos didn’t meet our guidelines.

Common reasons for rejection include:

- Unclear face visibility (e.g., blurry image, partial face, bad lighting, face-obscuring filters)
- Wearing sunglasses or a hat
- Photos not of you (e.g., children, celebrities, objects, animals)
- Nudity or indecent appearance
- AI-generated photos
- Swimwear or shirtless photos away from the beach or pool, weapons, or anything graphic
- Fewer than 3 photos, or none of just you

The app shows **Application not approved** with two buttons: **Photo requirements**, and **Update and reapply**, which lets you fix your photos or details and submit again. To pass the second time:

1. Submit a clear, high-quality photo of yourself
2. Ensure your full face is visible and well-lit
3. Avoid items that obscure your face
4. Use a recent photo that accurately represents you
