What is photo verification?

Photo verification is how we know the photos on every profile are of the person behind it. As part of applying, you take a live selfie, and a person on our team compares it with your profile photos to confirm you are who your photos show. Every member goes through it. Photo verification confirms that a member’s photos are really of them. It doesn’t confirm who they are, and we don’t run background checks, so use your judgment and our Safety Guide.

The check is part of your application review, and you’ll be notified with the decision. Your selfie is never shown on your profile or anywhere else in the app. We keep it secure and use it only to verify photos you upload later, and you can contact our support team at any time to withdraw your consent or request its deletion.
